RadioU's Programming
Aimed squarely toward the ears of 12-24 year olds, RadioU uses a tight playlist of current and recent hits. When RadioU listeners make us a preset, they know they'll hear something different than the same ten songs played everywhere else; yet they can quickly get up to speed on the songs we play because our playlist is so well tuned.
We've created our imaginary (though very real) 20 year old listener "Adam." While he may or may not be a Christian, he and his girlfriend like the music we play and the way we present it. Adam is actively engaged in music culture. He's still in college, but he has plenty of discretionary income for the things he cares about, like dates with his girlfriend, clothing, his cell phone, laptop, and portable media player.
Our playlist, air talent, imaging, and programming features all revolve around Adam.
RadioU's air talent
We've worked hard to find real, down-to-earth communicators who are part of Adam's culture. When it comes to the on-air talent we employ, we're less concerned about a long resume than we are with how Adam will relate to them as personalities. We happen to be Christians and we play Christian hard music, but we don't take ourselves too seriously.
Remember, RadioU is "where music is going," and we take great care NOT to image ourselves as "your Christian music station." We know that there's an upfront, positive vibe that comes from RadioU's music. We have DJs that know how to be real, impacting our audience without being "trite" or "preachy."
Our music and promotions departments are always working to bring the bands in-studio, and to create compelling, easy-to-win contests. As you'd expect, RadioU listeners make requests, interact with the DJs, and participate in contests through our toll-free request line and award-winning Website.
RadioU's mornings are led by "The R!OT," hosted by Obadiah and Nikki. Yes, that's his real name, and he's probably the loudest person you'll ever care to meet. He's a fan of video games, food, and "24," and he's also the producer of a daily video countdown for a national music video channel.
Nikki helps keep him on track, has a passion for electronic gizmos (especially if they come in pink), and has an infectious laugh that helps to make life more worth waking up to each day.
RadioU's vibe and imaging
As a rock-leaning hits format, RadioU is imaged to compete with major market mainstream alternative and top 40 radio. What goes between the songs is important to us, and we've won countless awards for our imaging and production. You'll hear samples on our aircheck.
Through its music, air talent, and imaging, RadioU captures the cultural vibe necessary to play to the loyalty of its listener base.

Special features
In addition to RadioU's consistent approach to music across all dayparts, we air a number of daily and weekly features, localized to your station.
Daily programming features include the "RadioU Insider," a sixty-second music news feature that airs throughout the day. "The R!OT" is our morning show, and the 90-minute "Instant Request Service" runs in middays. RadioU's "Battle Of The Buzz" features two new songs each afternoon, and our "Ten Most Wanted" countdown runs each night, based on that day's listener votes and requests.
Each weekend, we program several longer-form specialty shows, starting with "RadioU HXC" on Friday nights. Saturday nights feature "RadioU Fusion," a unique program of Christian hip hop, dance, and techno complete with a skilled mix DJ.
